I came across this blog and just had to share! On Lanky Girl’s blog, The London Perspective, she wrote about an invitation she and other bloggers received to see a screening of Breakfast at Tiffany’s at the Grosvenor Square hotel in London. In addition to champagne and canapes, the guests were treated to these oh-so-cute Tiffany Blue cupcakes by Cupcakey.

Breakfast at Tiffany’s Cupcakes

To make 12 cupcakes you will need:
8oz caster sugar
8oz self raising flour
1.Cream stork and sugar until creamy and pale in colour.
2.Add flour, vanilla and eggs and beat until well combined.
3.Fill cupcake cases to 3/4 full and place in pre-heated oven – 160 degrees.
4.Bake for 10-12 mins until golden brown.
There are two types of icing you can go for:
Butter Cream Icing
500g Icing Sugar
Vanilla 1/2 tsp
Beat together for 5-7 mins (electric mixer or strong arm!). Use food colour paste, mix blue and green for Tiffany colour.
or, Fondant Icing- available at supermarkets or cake decorating suppliers, colour to suit and roll to around 1cm thick.
While on this Breakfast at Tiffany’s theme, I decided to make my first Polyvore creation–with Audrey Hepburn’s character, Holly Golightly, as the inspiration. I’m still trying to figure out how to use Polyvore. Not exactly sure of what I’m doing, I just know that Polyvore is addictive!
